Tamiya 1/35 scale Hetzer

Richard Jongepier
Middelburg, Zeeland, Netherlands

Richard placed a Tamiya 1/35 scale Hetzer tank destroyer in a diorama with Tamiya figures, Italeri sandbags, and a scratchbuilt wooden fence, then sprinkled it with artificial Christmas snow and white powdered pigments to give it a wintry look. The groundwork comprises plaster of Paris and modeling clay topped with model railroad grass. He says, “After building the whole thing in the armor section of the FineScale.com forum, people were nagging me to offer it to the online gallery. I love being on there, as you get lots of friendly comments and tips. So, in a way, all the people on there helped create this.”

Really nice! Good job with lighting the photo too. Looks like low sunlight on a cold day.
