“It’s a 1/48 scale SR-71 Big Tail conversion of the Testors SR-71 kit using Testors enamel mixes of flat black, flat white, and gloss black airbrushed in various mixes,” Jeff says. He filled in the refueling receptacle and carved the long tail from a urethane tooling board. He says, “My inspiration was an article written by SR-71 historian and enthusiast Tony Landis.”
