Mark writes: “I was inspired to build this model from a photograph in the book Steel Rails to Victory: A Photographic History of Railway Operations During World War II, by Ron Ziel” (Hawthorn Books, ISBN 978-1-299-29771-5). He left the forks and wheels off a 1/35 scale German orderly’s motorcycle and modified wheels from Dragon’s 1/35 scale SdKfz 2/2 kleines Kettenkrad German Motorcycle Patrol. The frame and sidecar are scratchbuilt from strip and sheet styrene. Mark hand-painted the camouflage patterns with Model Master paints.
