Carol writes: “For this 1/50 scale Royal Dutch air force DAF YTZ 2300 with Patriot missile trailer, I used a Lion Toys Daf 200 as a base model. The chassis was extended and a third axle was added. Most of the chassis and cabin parts had to be scratchbuilt because of the odd scale. The trailer is completely scratchbuilt. The diorama represents a scene in Dyarbakir, Turkey 1991. The Dutch Patriot missile systems were in Operation Wild Turkey, a part of Operation Desert Storm.”
