Woodrow Anselen, Corona, California
“My first model project in nearly 20 years,” writes Woodrow. “This is Hasegawa’s Macchi C.202 Folgore in 1/48 scale. It was in my ‘to build’ collection for nearly 25 years. I painted (and re-painted, over and over again) with a variety of Floquil, Model Master, Gunze, and Tamiya paints. A lot of the knowledge, old skills, and tricks which used to be second-nature to me had to be relearned. Locating all my old building tools, equipment, paints, and reference materials gave me a sense of traveling back in time. At times I felt as though I was meeting myself as a young man as I looked at and handled things I had hidden away and nearly forgotten about so many years ago. And my lovely wife was impressed that her husband had this heretofore unknown ‘skill!’”
