Steve says: “Modeling a 21st Century Models 1/18 scale Focke-Wulf 190D-9, I built in as much scale realism as I could fit. I scratchbuilt most of the landing-gear bays and cockpit, and I added lots of little details, such as windscreen de-icers, aluminum gun/cannon barrels, wire antenna, and a Plexiglas gunsight. I also had decals custom-made by Red Pegasus. The plane is modeled after that of Werner Hohenberg of JG 2. I invested somewhere around 300 hours in the makeover and had a ball doing it. Can’t wait to try another!”
Nice finish and painat job. It gives me hope for my future FW 190 and TA 150 projects.
Beautiful build!
i think i would like to see the detail in the cockpit and the wheel wells. The finish is absolutely impeccable.
