After building the 1/54 scale “Star Wars” AT-ST Imperial Walker from MPC/Ertl, Mike wrote, “I used the pilot figure from a TIE Interceptor kit to stand at the open hatch; opened up the viewports; added some guns to the side-weapons mount; and put a ladder and railing on it to give the driver a way down. Green and brown pastels dirtied it up. I gradually made the Walker cleaner going to the top since the foot pads and legs would take the brunt of the foliage. The downed ‘tree’ on the base is a broken-up branch from a tree in my backyard.”
