“This is the 1/35 scale M1134 ATGM (anti-tank guided missile) Stryker from AFV Club,” says Allan. “I built it because my son is in the 4th Stryker Brigade (2nd Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment). The kit was challenging because of its numerous small parts and photoetched metal.” Allan airbrushed a base coat of Testors olive drab and oversprayed with a lightened shade of the base color before dry-brushing with burnt metal, applying a wash of umber artist’s oil, and finishing with Doc O’Brien’s Weathering Powders.
