Roden 1/72 scale Albatros D.Va - October 2013

Mike Warner, Penn Yan, New York

Having built Roden’s 1/72 scale Albatros D.Va, Mike says, “I have always wanted to try my hand at a wood-grain finish. As fuselages for Albatros fuselages were often left unpainted, this aircraft was ideal.” Mike rigged it with stretched sprue and painted with acrylics to represent an aircraft of Jasta 4.

This is my model.  I realize I must have mistakenly identified it to Finescale as a Jasta 4 aircraft, but it is from Jasta 6 (as identified by the black/white stripes on the horizontal stabilizer).  Sorry for the error, fellow WWI aviation fans!

Fantastic!, and in such a small scale.  Wish my hands were more flexable....
