Bill Kennedy, Clarks Hill, Indiana
When Lt. Cmdr. Kennedy retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service, his retirement flag was flown over “Old Ironsides.” So, Bill went ’round the horn with Revell’s 1/96 scale USS Constitution. “I quit counting the hours on the kit when I got to 400,” he says. “The rigging like to drove me nuts!
Beautiful build Bill and I know what you mean about rigging madness.
Outstanding job sir! The sails are stunning. I'm impressed, that you accomplished such realistic soiling? I've built a Cutty Sark, and a Kearsarge, many years ago, but didn't try any aging techniques like this. Well done Commander!
Just a Beautiful Job, and Specially on the rigging.
Nice job Bill. I was into building plank on frame ships in the past. I can hardly see the difference on your build.
