Revell 1/96 scale USS Constitution - October 2013

Bill Kennedy, Clarks Hill, Indiana

When Lt. Cmdr. Kennedy retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service, his retirement flag was flown over “Old Ironsides.” So, Bill went ’round the horn with Revell’s 1/96 scale USS Constitution. “I quit counting the hours on the kit when I got to 400,” he says. “The rigging like to drove me nuts!

    Outstanding job sir! The sails are stunning. I'm impressed, that you accomplished such realistic soiling? I've built a Cutty Sark, and a Kearsarge, many years ago, but didn't try any aging techniques like this. Well done Commander!

    I did the thermopaly the rigging is what makes it stand out I did mine fore to aft to keep the masts perpindicular
