Mixing up his modeling, John built a 1950s “concept jet.” He calls his conversion of Tamiya’s 1/100 scale F-105 “Republic F-105i Thunder Hunter (i for interceptor),” combining the F-105 fuselage with a modified F-106 wing. “The centerline drop tank was retained, and four Falcon air-to-air missiles were mounted on wing pylons,” he says.
