Alvaro Lino, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Modeling an aircraft of the 582nd Kokutai based at Buin airfield (also known as Kahili, on Bougainville Island), Alvaro paid attention to field-applied camouflage and other nonstandard features when finishing his 1/48 scale Tamiya A6M3 Model 22 (such as the original gray-green canopy frames and overpainted fuselage identification stencil). He painted with Gunze Sangyo acrylic paints and clears, using Vallejo chrome for paint chipping. The national insignia and yellow leading edges are painted; decals are from Berna. Alvaro used a Tamiya weathering set to put more hours on the plane.
