Hasegawa 1/48 scale F-15 Flanker - March 2014

Kelly Quirk, Kearney, Missouri

Kelly used Hasegawa’s 1/48 scale F-15E to model an F-15D desert Flanker aggressor. He says, “Many small modifications were made to change the E into an accurate D model, including antenna and vents, the cockpit, and a reworked tail-hook area.” He also added Aires resin exhaust cans, Black Box ejection seats, and Afterburner decals. “I wanted to add an aggressor aircraft to my collection,” he says, “and I couldn't resist the desert Flanker camo scheme.”

Very sharp! Really like the camo color of the aircraft and the fact you added the pilot. Excellent job!

Outstanding; every aspect is top notch. 57th FWW intake covers are awesome as is the Eagle driver's suit.

Helmet and oxygen mask are put on after you strap in, not when you have completed your pre-flight and are ready to climb into the cockpit.

I've had the privilege to see this kit in person and while excellent all-around the finish is truly amazing. There are absolutely no flaws in the paint and decal application and the blending of the camo colors is perfectly even and stunning. Well done doesn't even begin to cover it, but it's about the only thing else I can say!
