Tamiya 1/32 scale F4U-1 - May 2014

Chiang Johnson, Taichung, Taiwan

“I like to see the models with cutaways,” says Chiang. He opened up Tamiya’s 1/32 F4U-1 to many scratchbuilt items and says it was his first try at a such a model. Not bad!

Great work! This build should be featured in the magazine.

Very good job!  I have done some scratch building, but nothing to this extent, so I can appreciate all the extra work!  Any idea how long it took you?

Really good. Funny how, to me the Apple logo looks like an oil drip. Excellent work.

Hi Chiang, You did one more good job with that kit. There is a guy who post his work with cut away's, on large scale planes web site. Go to that site and search for Chris Novac,  you'll like his work. You know that oil leek under your Corsair is a perfect touch, really makes the whole piece stand out. Model on my man!
