Stephen installed a Koster Aero Enterprises conversion on Monogram’s 1/48 scale B-24J to model a PB4Y-2. He says it is a stern challenge, “a near-total destruction of the Monogram B-24. In fact, all that is used is the middle of the fuselage, about the length of the bomb bay. The rest of the airframe and wings are vacuum-formed. There are resin engines, cowlings, and turrets, and metal .50-caliber guns to replace the ones in the Monogram kit.”
