James Wilshire

Arlington, Texas

Shanghai, 1937: The soldiers are multipose figures from the 1/32 scale Airfix Japanese infantry kit. The surroundings are mostly 1/35 scale, though, including a Verlinden wall fragment and a bicycle from Dragon’s Viet Cong figure set. James mixed different shades of Tamiya paints for each figure’s uniform to individualize them. On all the figures, flesh tones are painted with artist’s oils.
