Angelo writes: “I was inspired to build this model of the C-130 in early Royal Air Force markings by the box art on the original issue of the 1/72 scale Airfix kit of the Hercules. I used the Italeri 1/72 scale kit, adding Eduard’s photoetched metal and scratchbuilding the cargo hold.” Angelo sanded off the kit’s raised panels lines and scribed replacements. The Bloodhound SAM being loaded is an Airfix kit; the Land Rover is a die-cast model he repainted in RAF colors. The model is photographed from a perspective similar to the Airfix artwork.
