Helerson modeled Revell's 1/350 scale Type VIIC U-boat as U-552 in the North Atlantic, 1942. He added antennas and cables with stretched sprue and insulators with liquid plastic mask. After painting with Tamiya, Testors Model Master, and Gunze Sangyo colors, he used Winsor & Newton and Corfix artist’s oils for weathering and water streaks. DSM pigments provided touches of rust, and dry-brushing with Humbrol enamels provided a little more relief.
