Working in 1/72 scale, Mr. Wang parked a HobbyBoss F-14A of VF-103, the Jolly Rogers, aboard the USS John F. Kennedy with Fujimi’s flight deck crew and tractor as well as Hasegawa’s U.S. pilot and ground crew. He enhanced a DreamModel U.S. Navy flight deck with steel tubing, plastic netting, and myriad bits and pieces: spare parts from a tank; wire; necklace pieces; copper-foil stickers; parts of a watch movement; and Legos to reinforce the deck from below.
