Jon Emery

Creedmoor, North Carolina

Jon writes: “Scenario: 2040 Tobruk, North African campaign, American Lend-Lease M3 upgrade M3A9 Honeybee. Still runs like a Honey but has a little added sting — a Vulcan and two Mk.19s mounted in the sponsons. Still an aircraft engine for power, though. The model was created with the Academy M3 Honey and Italeri M163A1 Vulcan  1/35 scale kits, and a 1/24 scale Revell ‘Star Wars’ AT-RT.” After that, it’s anyone’s guess (including Jon): aircraft and armor spare parts, a little scratchbuilding, and added rivets. Jon airbrushed Testors Model Master enamels and finished with pinwashes of ink and accents with colored pencils.
