Alfredo kitbashed and scratchbuilt his way to a 1/48 scale Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA, “following schemes in six views and lots of pictures from the Internet,” he says. Internal structure, fuselage, flaps, slats, canards, horizontal, and vertical stabilizers were built with sheet styrene. Other parts were scraps from kits: the wings of an F-22; a canopy, which was cut and divided; and parts of an Su-27 for the top and bottom of the turbine nacelles and the wheels of the main landing gear. He also added an ejection seat from QuickBoost and nozzles from an Aires Su-27 detail set. “As there are no decals for the T-50 in 1/48 scale, I used some that were on hand,” he says.
