Surf’s up for this Revell Deal’s Wheels Messa-Schnitzel. Scott writes: “I build hot-rod models; I have since I was 4. I was asked by my brother-in-law to build an airplane for a friend who had painted a pedal car for his daughter. His friend is also an artist and a professional military modeler, so I did not want to build him something he could do better himself. The plane, Island Girl, blends elements of a ’49 Ford surf-woody and a seaplane. It features rescribed panel lines and rivets, a dash with custom bezels, a scratchbuilt piston-head rudder stick, custom wood paneling, a scratchbuilt pontoon system, surfboard, and rack, plus custom decals and other stuff, too.”
