“How could I resist?” Chris asks, explaining why he built FineMolds 1/48 scale “Imperial Weapon No. 2,” the Nakajima Kikka. “I chose to paint it in its actual experimental colors and attached RATO rockets, but, other than some masking-tape seat belts in the cockpit, it is built right out of the box.” A spray can of Krylon brilliant silver served for bare metal; Tamiya acrylics took care of the rest. Chris printed out a Japanese navy ensign and framed it for the display base.
