Jay says, “I build, paint, and collect all kinds of models, from World War II aircraft and armor to monsters and dinosaurs. I always seem to come back to sci-fi kits and creatures” — or, in this case, Billiken's 1/6 scale Batman “Pose A” vinyl figure. “I didn’t want to just paint it black, so I went with various shades of gray. There’s really very little out-of-the-bottle black on the kit.” Jay used a semigloss on the cape to give it a leathery look. The face is painted with several skin tones of Liquitex artist’s acrylics.
