Michael writes: “The McDonnell Gemini two-man spacecraft has always been one of my favorite space vehicles, and I realized I had not built a model of it since I was about 10. Being a former McDonnell-Douglas employee and space-history geek, I decided to do a series of Geminis using the old 1/48 scale Revell kit. The first I completed used the landing skids that came with the original release of this kit. A few years ago, Tom Castronuova, a fellow space modeler, came out with a kit of the inflatable Rogallo paraglider wing. So I finally have a nice model of a spacecraft that sparked my imagination as a kid and had no small part in leading me into a career in the aerospace industry.”
