“This model, in its large scale, afforded the opportunity for maximum detail,” says Richard of Trumpeter’s 1/200 scale Bismarck. He used fine brass wire for rigging, turret-top railings, and boat fittings. Paints included Tamiya dark sea gray, light gray, and hull red, along with Testors deck tan. He varied the shades of individual planks to call out deck detail.
