Pierre says he was inspired to build Tamiya’s 1/48 scale A-10A because he saw these planes daily while attending college in Tucson, Ariz. He applied desert camouflage using Testors Model Master modern desert sand enamel for a base coat and Tamiya acrylic paints for the remaining colors. He says, “It was a fun project and an excuse to break out the airbrush.”
