For his first model in 40 years, Art joined a Mustang group build and turned out Hasegawa’s 1/48 scale P-51D Mustang as the racer Miss America. Testors Model Master Acryl rendered the red, white, and blue; stars and other markings are kit decals. Art sent the finished model to the host of the group build, who has a picture of his daughter sitting on the wing of the real plane at the races in Reno, Nev.
