“The Grumman F7F Tigercat is an airplane I was always attracted to by its elegance, gracefulness, and beauty,” Mike says. He built the 1/48 scale AMT/Ertl kit, adding Eduard photo-etch and a Crystal Clear canopy from Squadron. Aware of the nasty chemistry that results in the kit’s wheel hubs melting the vinyl tires, he separated them with Bare-Metal Foil. He painted with Testors Model Master enamel and raised a high gloss with Meguiar’s automotive polish.
