In 2006, Santa brought Mike’s son an M1 Abrams made by FunRay. Mike says, “When he outgrew this 1/18ish scale M1 Abrams, I noted it was fairly realistic in proportion. So I used it as a painting and weathering skill builder.” Mike took it apart, filled and smoothed seams, and painted it with Testors desert sand and Tamiya NATO green. “I was going for a 2003 Fallujah urban war look,” he says. “This was a good exercise for me as I reintroduce myself to model building.”
