Dean cites FSM’s own Aaron Skinner as his inspiration for the finish on his Revell 1/48 scale X-wing fighter (May 2017 FSM). Dean says, “I tried to emulate his techniques as he described them and I am pleased to say how well this model turned out. I used the same camo gray Testors paint, and this was my first time using pastels. I did scratchbuild some interior cockpit details, such as hoses and canopy risers.
