Here is a G scale (1/22.5) World War I U.S. Navy crew car whose 14-inch guns were used to send shells well behind the German lines. Frank scratchbuilt most of the model using plans from the Baldwin Locomotive Works (1918). The trucks are from Kadee, but he built the frame, walls, and roof with Plastruct and Evergreen styrene stock. The car is covered with cedar from Ozark Miniatures. The windows are backed with brass screen. He painted with acrylics from Tamiya and clear stain on the cedar. He even printed the decals himself.
