James De Pietro

Woodbury, New Jersey

Scale models from the early ’60s have always held a special place in James’ memory. In particular, the Silly Surfer Riding Tandem, created by Bill Campbell in 1965, caught his eye. This was an easy build but did require some filling and sanding at the leg and arm joints. For painting, James used Tamiya acrylics, Testors enamels, and artist oils. He says it was “a fun, nostalgic build!”
