Colten built this Blue Ridge Models 1/700 resin SS Normandie over the course of a year, as well as the water base replicating the Hudson River. He wanted to model how Normandie appeared on its maiden voyage arrival to New York, complete with signal flags that he printed and figures from Eduard, based on photographs. Colton made smoke from Rayon fibers, stiffened them with hairspray, and added rigging from Very Fire.
