John Dutze
Astoria, Oregon
Starting with a Monogram 3-in-1 kit of a Chevy Camaro, John wanted to create a factory-stock replica, so he updated the windows with styrene strip for the window trim, opened up the front side marking lights, and made new lights with PETG plastic sculpted, polished, and painted with Tamiya transparent orange. He opened the front grille, added openings to the underside of the front bumper cover to imitate the ones on the full-sized car, and then added a screen to the underside of the front bumper cover. John wired the engine, opened the cowl, and added an intake screen. He finished the car in Tamiya Metallic Blue and used decals for the factory markings. Inside, John flocked the floor and added a scale newspaper and magazine for a used look.
