Brian Eberle

Moon Township, Pennsylvania

For his first ever 1/24 scale build and his first automobile, Brian tackled the Revell VW T1 camper van. He replaced the pop-up plastic windows from the kit with cling wrap and a laminated brown coffee filter for a more realistic canvas look. Brian added some fabric as a throw rug and rags inside the van, a few 3D-printed milk crates, and a picnic table. He scratchbuilt the collection of model kits on the table and in the milk crates. The tank models on the picnic table are from Skywave 1/700 scale Vehicles on Beachhead kit. Brian finished the vehicle interior using enamel spray paint and hand-painted the wood-grain with oil paints. The exterior white and blue are enamels weathered with multiple enamel weathering products, oils, and pastels. The vignette shows a hobbyist’s van at the end of a successful day at a model show.
