Donald build this old-school Revell 1/28 scale Fokker Dr.I kit that has been in his collection for about 20 years straight out of the box. The date on the inside of the fuselage leads him to believe the kit is from 1957! To achieve one of Richtofen's Dr.Is, Donald marked it with the correct serial number by splicing together the supplied decals. He also cut down the decals for the Iron Crosses for a simple, white outline. He painted the plane Model Master enamels and an Iwata airbrush, adding streaks with a half-inch paintbrush with notches cut into the bristles.
