Tyler built this HK Models 1/48 B-25J Mitchell bomber as a passion project after waiting for just the right kit. He built it as "8Z" from the 340th Bomb Group, 488th Bomb Squadron, which served over the Mediterranean Theater during World War II. What makes the tail code more personal is that it is from a plane shot down over Italy, and Tyler is involved in a project to restore the full-sized B-25 with the same tail code to full flight.
