Manu

Madrid, Spain

A modeler who identifies himself only by the name “Manu” says his “little diorama” represents flying ace Douglas Bader and his crew in the middle of a scramble in the spring 1941 based in Tangmere. He used an Airfix 1/72 scale Spitfire kit and figures out of the box except for decals. Manu used Tamiya and Vallejo paints topped with artist oils for weathering. He described the plane as an excellent kit but noted that the figures really needed an update because they've been around for more than 50 years!
