I can't post them email on its way.
Cluster bombing from B-52s is very, very accurate. The bombs always hit the ground.

Those are them and it has the single pitot on the roof. I try to get a pic for you.

Matt,

Would you mind posting that pic?  Original built UH-1H's had a single pitot on the roof. Ealier built UH-1D's had a single pitot on the left side of the nose. The only paired projections on the nose of Vietnam era Hueys were the mounts for the FM antennas, but a bird built in 71 shouldn't have these.  Perhaps you are thinking of something like this:

Lemme know if this nose "bump" looks like yours.

I just checked the photos from that day and I only have head on photos. All it shows is a flat black nose. I know the aircraft was built in 71 and delivered in 72 sorry I had the wrong years. So that would make it a UH-1H right? It has bumps on the nose where the pitots should be. I'll see about getting the serial number.

Matt,

I assume you are referring to B company, 25th Aviation Battalion.  Here is their website: http://25thaviation.org/  Go to "Diamonhead" for B Company info

I checked there (they have tailnumbers from all their aircraft) and the Army Gold Book data and there is no ship listed with 426 in the serial that flew with the 25th.  of course it could have been overlooked, but my guess is that the bird you flew in never actually flew with the 25th.  Was it a UH-1H Huey?  Do you have any photos of her from your flight?  There are several UH-1D/H's with 426 as the last three digits of the serial so you really need the info from that bird I'm afraid.  Any additional info about insignia on the helicopter would be helpful.  Good luck with your search.  The website should at least get you started as there are lots of photographs.  Let us know how it goes.

Need help finding unit info.

I need help finding info on a Army unit around 1970-71. Im looking for info on CoB 25th Avn Bn. I think thats correct at least thats what was given to me. Im not sure about Army units. I need photos of unit markings for aircraft nose #426 the whole tail number and just about anything on this aircraft/unit. The reason I need it is my daughter and I took a ride in it at the Dayton airshow this summer. It was her first flight in anything and now were building a model of it for her room and she wants it to "Look just like the real one". I gotta stop listening to a six year old...LOL. Any help would be great. Thank You.
