Funny you say that, I actually wanted to fly when I came in, but was DQ's for my poor eyesight.  I have since had Lasik and now have 20/10+ vision.  Oh well, I still love helos, guess I'll just have to settle for 1/35 versions.  Gotta love the big guns too though.

Hey Gino Tongue <img src=" border="0" width="15" height="15" />! The housing for the new radar is larger on the nipple nose!  The radar itself is the same, just repositioned in a different mount on the helicopter's ADL.

Yup, same radar.  "nipple nose"  Thats a name I hadn't heard for it...I like it though!!Big Smile [:D]

Twobobs is coming out with a sheet in the not so distant future.  Some really good stuff on it too!

Thanks Gino,

Will try to look him up, if no luck i will draw and print up some of me own. I am waiting to get a full sheet drawn up before i press thr print button, as decal paper here in Oz is fairly exspensive.

Cheers Mate

Grant Little (a member here) had a couple sheets for sale, one for a 3-color desert camo Davis-Montham HH-60G (the one I built, used his sheet), and one for AF Reserve MH/HH-60Gs out of Alaska.  They are great sheets with decals that are thin and look excellent.  I highly recommend them.  Those are all the AM decals I know of for HH/MH-60Gs.

Yes, all on that page are USAF MH-60G models.  The one labeled "new" nose isn't really new any more, it is dated 2000.  The nose radar is no larger, justrepositioned from under the left side on an angled mount, to the centerline on the nose.  The size of teh radar is the same.  The centre-mounte position (called a snoopy nose) is more current.  There are still older Pave Hawks that have the side-mount radr though as well.  Almost all nose-mounted versions are repainted in the overall gunship gray as in the pic as well.

Yep, that's a G model.  Some do have the larger nose radar.  There are a few guys on here that are a lot more knowledgable than I am, but I believe that is the current standard, with the old style going away.

Help With MH-60 Type?
Posted by wooty on Sunday, September 21, 2008 2:23 AM

Hello Everybody,

Just wanting to know what model MH-60 this/these are?

http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/AWA1/101-200/walk158_MH-60G/walk158.htm

I was wanting to build a MH-60G and found this walkaround while looking for reference photos.

Is the type with the labeled New Nose a G model?

Cheers

Robert
