Well if it's going to be there...might as well take advantage of the opportunity to get a couple of shots. Smile [:)] At least a couple exterior and a couple of the cockpit would be cool. I'm sure someone would find them useful.

Thanks for asking!!

As I am not really very technical with aircraft, I'm not sure. All I kow is that it's Rescue Air 1 in Atlanta. Found out tonite that we may also get a fly in of a Blackhawk medivac also. Here is a pic I found on thier web site if that can help.

Dave- No problem, just thought I would see if I could help anyone out around here for a change seeing how much I get.

It is a rare opportunity to get pics of a european helicopter. So as David said: "a couple exterior and a couple of the cockpit would be cool. I'm sure someone would find them useful". I would!
I was overthinking my last post. Actually it doesn't really matter what kind of helo ...
just get me the pics! Wink [;)]

Since we're on the subject and in case anyone needs them, I can get some detailed shots of whatever you need with respect to Providence Lifeguard Alaska's BK-117C1. They've also got a B-412. Both have the full MEDEVAC fit, and the paint scheme is pretty cool...check out the picture.

I'm a USAF CSAR dude, and we work close with their flight nurses while doing civil SAR missions up here in Alaska. Now if anyone is interested, I'd be more than happy to help. BTW, I can get all the shots of our Pavehawks if you need them. It'll take a little time as my off-duty time is pretty limited right now...half the unit is on rotating deployments (take a wild guess where), and our ops tempo is through the roof.

Hey Avus, how's it going piason? DId the pics I sent you from Afghanistan help out for your diorama? I'm still "No-Joy" on the DML AH-6J Killer Egg models, but I'm still looking. If anyone has one or more they're willing to part with let me know.

Hi Sal,

Your pics were a great help, but at the moment I'm working on the Littlebird. Things are going on good but slowly; I've posted some pics of my progress.
Did you have a look on e-bay for the AH-6J model? I heard that with some luck you could find one.

I tried the E-Bay thing, but must admit I really didn't go all out. I should probably hit it harder but I've been busy with work lately. I did try several modeling websites that catered to out of production kits, but they all came back saying "sorry...no-got".Sad [:(]
Nice to see your killer egg is coming along nicely.Big Smile [:D]

Well I found out a little more details. They are going to be landing at 1800 hours and of coarse it will be dark. I think there might be enough light from street lights around the station and where the birds going to land to still get some shots all though I don't know how good they will turn out but I'll try. If not, still can get some one day if I happen to have my camera handy when we land one to fly out someone, they are on the ground for a little while most of the time long enough to shut down. I'll get some one way or the other though.

Well sorry to say the pics came out as a big black outline basically. It was dark and the street lights had been turned off at the piolets request to make it easier to land in the parking lot. I'll try to get some whenever I can though.
