Ideas on Building Bell 47D
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 5:58 AM
Hafa Adai Everyone from Guam.Cool [8D]..I'm presently working on my third version of the Academy Bell 47D...I've made a sister HTL-4 US Coast Guard Version complete w/pontoons. The instruction sheet is vague and I'm wondering if anybody has any good photo's. Also any ideas on customizing a bit.

I'm trying to figure out a way to detail engine and rotor assembly????
Interior ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any input.
Thanks to all, EricSmile [:)]

How? I took some close-up pics of a Bell 47 at the Helsinki Air Museum in Finland. I can look for them, if you want..?

Eric,
You may find the following useful:
http://cellmath.med.utoronto.ca/B47/

They have a series on rebuilding a 47, as well as articles on history, specs etc.
Several pics with cockpit removed showing engine fan etc.

Hope this helps.

Happy New Year to everyone from where America's New Year Begins, Guam USA! Thank you everyone for the fantastic links...it is just the thing I needed to build my 1/35th scale of the 47 (third one) I really have some great pics now for detailing this baby. My son is going to build a web site for me so soon I will start posting my projects on line for you all to watch and hopefully give me some tips!

Thanks again and 2004 will be a good year!
