Hey Jonathan, Looking at your signature pic, I know those markings! 1-6 Cav was part of Victory Strike III along with us (1/501st) back in the latter half of 2002. They're in Wiesbaden. No? Or maybe it was Katterbach...

"1-6" is reference to my callsign, Reaper One Six, not my unit.

2-6 and 6-6 Cav were in Germany at that point. 1-6 and 3-6 were in Korea.  The bird in my signature is a 1-82 Longbow with MTADS, they were in-country last year.  I haven't updated my sig yet with a shot of MY bird, but I will eventually.

As for the large size Apache kit, go with the Revell kit.  The Kangnam/Imex 35th scale kit is GARBAGE.

Jon

Thanks for clarifying for me! Now that my memory is jogged a little more, It was 2-6 that was with us.

Still, I know I've seen those markings before! I just can't quite place em nowBanged Head [banghead]

Warmest regards,

Roger

Any idea what the size difference is scale-wise from 1/32 to 1/35?

Speaking of Apaches...anyone ever build the "Imex Models" 1/35 version? With all of the other choppers I have in 1/35, was really hoping to continue the trend.

Anyone know of any plans for a 1/35 AH-64 from any of the "big" manufacturers? Trumpeter, maybe?

I don't know if it's still in production, but  know that Revell has (or had) a 1/32 scale AH-64A on the shelves

Warmest regards,

Roger

In 48th scale, the Hasegawa AH-64D is the most accurate kit, although it does have some inaccuracies.  OOB it builds up to a very good pre-2004 AH-64D.

I have read and heard that the 1/48 Hasegawa Longbow is the best available currently. Looks like a really detailed kit compared to some others.

Hi guys, I've been building planes for the past few months and want to attempt a chopper.  I'd like to try out an Appache Longbow...I know some of you have most likely built one...or a few.  Which one is the best, which one do you suggest I try?
