The .50 cals are not used by the 160th SOAR, nor are they very common on USAF Pavehawks for that matter. They were only used in the door positions on a few test birds at Nellis and a couple during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Not sure why Academy included the door mounts. They are sometimes used in the gunner's positions by USAF Pavehawks though.
For the underwing stores, usually there is a rocket pod on the left and the M230 25mm cannon (available from Cobra Company once they reopen) on the right. You can also use any combo of the weapons in the kit. Just make sure you use the short, single hardpoint ESSS wings. DAPs do not normally use the longer, dual hardpoint wings. There were a few tested as Heavy DAPs, but not used operationally since the weight of the weapons and ammo really hurt performance.
Here is the post refered to above. It talks about 160th SOAR birds in Somalia during Operation Gothic Serpent (Blackhawk Down) in OCT 1993, no DAPs were used there though. Here is a step by step to the DAP I built as well.
Good luck and let me know if you need any more help.
