I used Testors Light Ghost Gray(4762), Dark Ghost Gray(4761) and Dark Gull Gray (4755).

Light Ghost was the overall color. I used the other grays for weathering and undershadowing.

THAPRINCE,

RonUSMC's Cobra is a good color scheme. A "freshly" painted AH-1W will be overall Light Ghost Gray with Dark Ghost Gray over the nose above the TSU (FLIR and Targeting Laser in the nose) and the top half of the helo from the rotor mast down to about half of the engine housing.

For extreme weathering, I've seen Cobras come back from multiple sorties in a short time period with 90% of the tail boom all black from the jet exhaust.

Semper Fi!
