OK, chaps,

I'm sure that this question has been posed before, but just What is the actual body colour of these birds?

The paint instructions call for "Olive Drab"... but is it USA Olive Drab (which is actually brown!!! Banged Head [banghead]) Actual green olive drab, some other olive drab, black green.... or just black?

The directions are wrong.  The color is a very dark green called US Army Helo Drab, FS34031.  Testors has it in their Model Master lines, both enamel and acrylic.  I have been told the acrylic dries a little more green and looks better in scale.  I use only the enamel and it looks right to me.

Either one works just fine.  We had all of our aircraft painted at the same paint shop and there was some slight variation between batches.  The new MIL spec calls for a two part acrylic paint.  Even though the curing agent is clear, differences in the mixing ratio causes some shift in the color.

The important thing is that they both look right.
