Searching for AM (PE) UH-1c sets
Posted by Mixael on Sunday, January 4, 2009 12:02 AM

As the title says, I'm looking for some PE AM stuff for the MRC/Academy UH-1C "Heavy Hog" kit.  I'd like to find something with a nice control panel, but can only seem to find a "simple" set on Megahobby.com.  Anyone with some more info on where to find this stuff?

Eduard makes an interior and exterior set that are pretty complete. Great Models acrries them.

I didn't do a good search there, then.  Thanks!

Micheal, I'd recommend the Big Ed set (BIG 3209) from Eduard. It has all the bells and whistles, interior, exterior, armament, RBF tags, and masks. Check the UH-1C build on the first page by Retired Gunpilot (Charlie) to see what the PE set (including the Instrument panel) looks like installed. Good luck! Ray

Thanks Ray, the easy way to find the PE kits is to go to Squadron models and click on the Academy UH-1C. When it displays it will list all the associated PE kits and books you might want to buy along with the kit. That is what I love about Squadron.Com.

Why is it that I keep forgetting places I've ordered from when I'm searching for this kind of stuff?  I had forgotten Great Models AND Squadron!

Thanks, guys!

<EDIT> Okay, I ordered some PE for this bird.  I only got the interior and exterior sets, as I couldn't quite justify the rest (to my wife).  I wish I didn't have to worry about the money for this hobby, but you know how it is.  Oh well, at least I can build this thing when the stuff gets here! </EDIT>
