Panther,

This may help you.

www.tmeyer-modellbau.de/WAHelicopter.htm

It takes a long time to download but it's really worth it. There's roughly 20 Mi-24 interior shots here.

FYI, there was an Apache longbow flying around Riyadh airbase last weekend, looked most impressive. I can see why so many iraqi's tried to surrender to them, i wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of one!

Bradcat105,

Any interesting paint schemes? CW3 Roebuck sent me some fantastic shots of his Checkmates D-model sled... Beautiful bird!

Take care and have a happy holiday!

Panther:
I fly Apaches (A model) and look at them everyday since I'm deployed overseas. If you need any pictures, drop me a line at shealyb1@yahoo.com and I'll be glad to help. Ours are pretty weathered you might say. Good luck.

Frank,

Great shots! Thanks! I needed a good front seat shot. The one I took was too close and you can't make out any of the details.

I do, however have some shots of the D model back seat if anyone needs it. Drop me an email at Cobrahistorian@yahoo.com and I'll send it off to you!

Later all!

Panther, click on the photo's below to enlarge them... then place your curser on the full sized results, right click, and choose: "Save Picture As", then put them in one of your files on your computer.

AH-64 front seat

AH-64 back seat

I would show you the rest of the cockpit, but then I'd have to kill you! hehehehe Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

One of my main resources for pictures online is Google.com. You cn click on the Images tab and search for whatever you want. A thumbnail view of any pictures found apears and you can get the link to the site from them. I've searched out many AH-64 pictures myself. Be specific though or you will be searching through 10000 pictures of nothing that have to do with choppers. Smile [:)]

An excellent book on the Apache is the LockOn by Verlinden, it was released years ago, so it has pictures of Desert Storm Apaches. Another good publication is on the Hind by a Czech publisher, called 4+.
I recommend both.

Panther,

Which Apache kit are you building? In order to get a "current" Apache, there are a LOT of modifications that need to be done to the kits that are available nowadays. Cable cutters, wire guards, flare launchers and laser detectors are all omitted from most of the currently available kits. Thankfully they're easily made from sheet plastic and stretched sprue or wire.

I've got a couple of shots of current A Model Apaches that served in Afghanistan on my website at http://cobrahistorian.tripod.com
