Troy,

That's a dang good question.  Basically any shade of OD is correct for Vietnam!  That's right, if you look hard enough you will find almost every shade of OD on a Vietnam Charlie somewhere.  I'm kinda partial to the Model Master enamel OD (FS 34087), but I bet you will get lots of opinions.  Lately I have been mixing custom acrylics using the Vallejo line of paints.  Their OD (70889 USA olive drab) is definitely way off and looks more like modern helo drab. However, a touch of "golden olive" (875 and actually a good match for chromate green) and you get a pretty good match at least in my mind.  You can even get "faded OD" in the Model Master line.  It's pretty hard to go wrong if you're just doing a generic Charlie. Of course your best bet is to try and match the bird you want to build. Any idea what unit and markings you will be doing?
